He was an officer of the Nigeria Police Force for an aggregate of 21 years during which period he served in various capacities. The last five years of his Police service was as the Commander of the specialised civil security Police unit attached to the Western Operational Division of Shell Petroleum Development Company in Nigeria. He voluntarily retired from the Police as an Assistant Commissioner of Police in 2005.

Since his retirement from the Police and before the establishment of this company, he had been employed as the Assistant General Manager, Security, of Industrial & General Insurance (IGI) Co Ltd Lagos- one of the largest insurance companies in Nigeria. He had also been employed as the Chief Security Officer of Modandola Group of companies. Probably the largest manufacturer of safety matches in Nigeria.
